آج کی تمام AI — ChatGPT، Google Maps، Face ID — سب Narrow AI ہیں: ہر ایک صرف اپنا مخصوص کام کرتی ہے۔ AGI (Artificial General Intelligence) ایسی AI ہوگی جو ہر شعبے میں انسان جتنی — یا اس سے زیادہ — ذہین ہو، ایک ہی نظام میں۔

All of today’s AI — ChatGPT, Google Maps, Face ID — are Narrow AI: each one does only its specific job. AGI (Artificial General Intelligence) would be a single system as intelligent as — or more intelligent than — a human across every field.

When AI writes “I am happy to help,” that’s not real happiness — it’s a pattern learned from human writing. There’s no consciousness, feeling, or care inside AI. It’s an extremely capable calculator that follows patterns beautifully.

تعصب (Bias): اگر training data میں تعصب ہو تو AI بھی تعصب والے فیصلے کرتی ہے۔
رازداری (Privacy): AI کام کرنے کے لیے آپ کا ڈیٹا استعمال کرتی ہے — استعمال سے پہلے privacy policy ضرور پڑھیں۔
ذمہ داری (Accountability): جب AI کا فیصلہ نقصان پہنچائے تو ذمہ دار کون ہے، یہ اب بھی قانونی طور پر واضح نہیں۔

Bias: AI trained on biased data makes biased decisions.
Privacy: AI needs your data to function — always read the privacy policy before use.
Accountability: Who’s responsible when an AI decision causes harm remains legally unresolved in most places.

دنیا بھر کی حکومتیں اب AI regulation نافذ کر رہی ہیں — یورپی یونین کا AI Act مرحلہ وار لاگو ہو رہا ہے، اور دیگر ممالک بھی اپنے قوانین بنا رہے ہیں۔

Governments worldwide are now actively rolling out AI regulation — the EU’s AI Act is being implemented in phases, and other countries are drafting their own rules too.

اسلامی علماء کی اکثریت کا موقف واضح ہے: AI ایک tool ہے — جیسے قلم یا کمپیوٹر — نہ خود حلال، نہ حرام۔ اسے علم پھیلانے، بیماروں کی مدد اور نیک کاموں کے لیے استعمال کرنا مستحسن ہے؛ دھوکہ دہی یا حرام مواد کے لیے استعمال کرنا گناہ۔ اصل بات نیت اور استعمال کی ہے۔

The consensus among Islamic scholars is clear: AI is a tool — like a pen or a computer — neither inherently permissible nor forbidden. Using it to spread knowledge, help the sick, and do good is commendable; using it for deception or forbidden content is sinful. What matters is intention and use.
