IIT Bombay Rankings โ QS World University Rankings 2027
IIT Bombay is 134th in the QS World University Rankings 2027, down from 129th in the 2026 edition. IIT Delhi is the highest-ranked Indian institution in QS 2027, at 118th.
This is a QS-specific result, not one universal ranking. Times Higher Education, U.S. News and ARWU use different methods and can order universities differently.
The tagline calls IIT Bombay “India’s original IIT”. It was the second IIT, founded after IIT Kharagpur, so treat that wording as imprecise.

Check the official IIT Bombay fee pages for your category.
