Are these scholarships only for poor students?

No. Some, like HEC's need-based programmes and Zakat schemes, target low-income families, but others — such as LUMS merit awards, PEC scholarships, and university talent programmes — are awarded purely on academic merit regardless of income.

Can I apply for more than one scholarship at the same time?

Usually yes, and it is a good strategy — but most programmes require you to give up one if you are selected for two that overlap in coverage, especially across federal government schemes.

Do provincial funds like PEEF or SEEF accept students from other provinces?

No. These funds require a domicile certificate from that specific province, though some, like PEEF, also extend limited support to AJ&K, Gilgit-Baltistan, and the merged tribal districts.

How do I know if a scholarship offer is genuine?

A genuine scholarship never asks you to pay a processing fee upfront. Always apply through the institution's own official website or its verified admissions/scholarship office rather than through an agent or a third-party link shared on social media.

When should I start applying?

As soon as you have your admission or enrollment confirmed. Most university and endowment-fund scholarships open shortly after each academic session's admissions close, so check the relevant office as soon as classes begin.
